Sara Atkins-Howard came to yoga in 2000 during her first year of college, she spent 10 years practicing in the Ashtanga and Forest Yoga styles with master teacher Heather Onori among others in Santa Monica, California. In 2010 she certified to teach yoga in an interdisciplinary style focusing on structural anatomy.
Sara loves the wisdom inherently bound to asana practice and how yoga ties the mind and body together in contemplative appreciation of the present moment. She strives to hold space in her classes for others to explore their own personal experience of yoga and hopes to help foster a deep love and understanding of the practice in others. Sara holds an MS from Pacifica Graduate Institute and when she isn't on the mat she's busy steeping in the awesomeness that is motherhood.
