Maria’s yoga and wellness journey has been about the transformational power of nutrition, yoga, and self-love. Maria has been a student of yoga for 15+ years and a teacher for 6. The physical postures combined with philosophical texts have provided Maria with a rich understanding of the importance of living in the present and unconditional love for one’s truest self. Maria shares her personal experience, knowledge, and creativity on how to fine tune your yoga practice, diet, and overall wellbeing to suit your individual needs. Her approach is through a combination of the ancient wisdoms of holistic medicine backed by the research of modern day science.
Maria completed the CorePower Yoga 200-hour certification program, followed by the Devanadi 340-hour certification program, and has extensively studied under Master Trainer, Alexandria Crow. She received her Masters of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Colorado State University. Maria’s graduate work has been published in the academic journal, Nutrition, and she has also published a cookbook called Favorite Things.
